Assistant/Community Coach
Dylan Downey
Dylan brings over 15 years of team‑coaching experience and six years of high‑school coaching experience to Creekview Cheer. For the past decade, he has choreographed for both all‑star and high‑school teams, earning multiple Best Choreography awards, and he previously served as a varsity all‑star judge for three years.
His coaching career includes numerous national titles in all‑star cheer, five Summit championships, one world championship, and six consecutive region titles at the high‑school level. Before coaching, Dylan was both an all‑star and high‑school athlete, giving him a full, athlete‑to‑coach perspective on the sport.
Dylan’s coaching philosophy centers on the athlete‑coach relationship. He prioritizes trust, respect, hard work, and understanding, and he encourages athletes to remember their love for cheerleading as a sport—not a job. His style blends a strong competitive drive with an environment where athletes can grow, enjoy the process, and perform at their best.
Outside the gym, Dylan is passionate about fitness and enjoys traveling to new places, believing that meeting people from different backgrounds helps shape a well‑rounded view of the world.
He is excited to return to high‑school cheer with Creekview—a program connected to both his passion and his family’s history. Dylan is ready to help usher in a new chapter, a new season, and a refreshed outlook for Creekview Cheer.
So grab a seat and stay tuned. You won’t want to miss this VIEW.
